Is iECHO Blocked by Your Organization’s Firewall?
The iECHO platform is a secure, compliant digital platform that supports the ECHO movement. It is hosted on Amazon Web Services servers. iECHO is a registered trademark of the University of New Mexico. iECHO adheres to best practices in IT security, meeting current and evolving data privacy and compliance standards. It is compliant with the U.S. Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA).
However, some organizations with elevated IT protocols, such as research laboratories or government agencies, may have firewall or network security infrastructure that blocks users from accessing iECHO on their network.
To access iECHO, work with your IT department or designated network security authority. You can use the following template to make your request:

I am submitting a request to allow the iECHO platform domain in [insert your organization’s name]’s firewall.
iECHO is a telementoring platform co-developed by the nonprofit Project ECHO, part of the University of New Mexico. iECHO facilitates virtual continuing education and professional development courses for our staff.
The firewall currently restricts access to this platform. Please allow access to the following:
- Domains: iecho.org and all subdomains (*.iecho.org)
- Emails: Allow email updates from addresses ending in @iecho.org
