Getting started with iECHO
About 6 minutes at a natural speaking pace
-
-
Opening
Welcome to iECHO! In the next few minutes, we'll walk you through joining your ECHO Program from the link you received. Then we'll show you around iECHO, so you're ready for your first session.

-
Opening
Registering takes about two minutes. Here's what to have ready.
-
Step 1
First, the link to your program, which your program coordinator shares with you.
-
Step 2
Second, an email address or a WhatsApp number. We'll send a one-time code to it to confirm it's really you.
-
Step 3
And any device with a web browser. A phone, tablet or computer all work, and there's nothing to install.
-
-
-
Opening
Your journey starts with the link to your program: the one your program coordinator shared with you.
-
Step 1
Tap or click the link, and the program's page opens on iecho.org, in any web browser.
-
-
-
Opening
The program page tells you everything you need to know before you register.
-
Step 1
Start with the objective: what you'll be able to do by the end of the program.
-
Step 2
Target professionals shows who the program is designed for.
-
Step 3
Topics covered lists what the sessions will explore.
-
Step 4
And upcoming sessions show when the group meets, in your own time zone.
-
-
-
Opening
On the right of the page, you'll find the participant group. Some programs run more than one, for different days, times or languages.
-
Step 1
Check that it suits you: its language, how often sessions are held and how many spots are open. This one holds sessions every two weeks, on Tuesdays, in English.
-
Step 2
When you're ready, select Register Now.
-
-
-
Opening
Next, choose your language. iECHO picks the one your browser uses, and you can choose another from the list.
-
Step 1
Then select Continue.
-
Step 2
iECHO suggests your city. Check it, or search for the right one. It helps tailor iECHO to your region, like finding your workplace more easily.
-
Step 3
Select Continue to confirm it.
-
-
-
Opening
Now, create your account. You can continue with your email, your mobile number or Google. We'll use email.
-
Step 1
Enter your email address, and select Continue.
-
Step 2
Add your first name, and if you like, your last name and gender.
-
Step 3
Create a password with at least 10 characters, including an uppercase letter and a number.
-
Step 4
Then agree to the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy, and select Agree and Continue.
-
-
-
Opening
Next, we'll email you a six-digit code to confirm it's really you. It arrives within a few seconds.
-
Step 1
Enter the code, and select Agree and Continue.
-
Step 2
No email? Check your spam folder, or select Resend to get a new code.
-
-
-
Opening
Next, choose your profession. The professions the program is designed for appear first.
-
Step 1
If yours isn't on the list, select Search for more.
-
Step 2
Start typing, and pick yours from the results.
-
Step 3
Then select Continue.
-

Now add your institute or workplace. Start typing its name.
-
Step 1
Pick it from the list. We use Google Maps for institutes and workplaces, so if your organization is listed on Google, try that name.
-
Step 2
Select Continue, and your account is created.
-
-
-
Opening
Your account is ready, and iECHO opens with one last step: choosing who can see your profile.
-
Step 1
We recommend Anyone on iECHO, so peers and experts across the ECHO community can find you and connect.
-
Step 2
You can also choose Only Me, or Unlisted, where only people with your profile link can see it.
-
Step 3
Check your time zone, and select Confirm.
-
-
-
Opening
You're registered! Welcome to the program. We'll remind you 30 minutes before each session, you can join in a few clicks, and everything you need is in one place on iECHO.
-
Step 1
And if a session is already live while you're registering, a pop-up lets you join right away and finish your profile afterward.
-
-

This is your home page, where everything starts. Let's take a quick tour.
-
Step 1
At the top, you'll find search, the Help Center and your profile menu, where you manage your settings.
-
Step 2
The menu on the left takes you to your dashboard, your programs, certificates, conversations and announcements, and your public profile.

-
Step 4
Upcoming Sessions lists your next sessions, each with Join Session and View Details buttons.

Opening
You're ready for your first session! Next, you can update your iECHO profile, post in the discussions forum, or learn how to share feedback, track your progress, manage certificates and complete assessments.
