Technical Requirements

Learn about the basic technical setup that you will need to get started with ECHO

এই নিবন্ধটি এখনও আপনার ভাষায় উপলব্ধ নয়, তাই আমরা ইংরেজি সংস্করণটি দেখাচ্ছি।

For a smooth experience using iECHO and Zoom, please check that your setup meets the requirements below.

Internet Connection

  • Broadband internet (wired, Wi-Fi or 4G/5G), with at least 8 Mbps download and upload speed.
  • A wired connection or a strong Wi-Fi signal works best. Close any other apps that use a lot of bandwidth, such as streaming or large downloads, during sessions.

Device (laptop or desktop recommended)

  • Processor: Intel Core i5 or AMD Ryzen 5 (or equivalent), or Apple Silicon (M1 or later)
  • Memory: 8 GB RAM or more
  • Storage: SSD recommended, with at least 10 GB free

Operating system

  • Windows 10 or 11 (Windows 11 recommended)
  • macOS 10.15 (Catalina) or later

Mobile devices (optional)

  • A current version of iOS/iPadOS or Android, with the Zoom and iECHO apps. A computer is recommended if you are presenting or sharing your screen.

Software

  • Zoom Workplace app: install the latest version. Zoom regularly retires older versions, and outdated clients may not be able to join sessions. Check for updates in Zoom under Profile → Check for Updates.
  • Web browser (for iECHO): latest version of Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari.

Audio and video

  • A webcam (built-in or external, 720p or better).
  • Optional: A headset or earphones with a microphone, to reduce echo and background noise.

Note: If your program uses a different videoconferencing platform than Zoom, make sure the required app or plugin is installed and updated to the latest (or a supported) version before the session.

Before your first session: join Zoom's test meeting at zoom.us/test to check your audio, video and connection.
